Fashion Photography sits at the intersection of two demanding creative disciplines: the technical and artistic practice of photography and the visual culture of the fashion industry. It is a field that requires not only the ability to produce technically excellent photographs but also a deep understanding of fashion as a cultural and commercial phenomenon, including styling, brand identity, campaign development, and the communication strategies through which fashion reaches its audiences. Fashion photographers must be agile practitioners capable of working across editorial, advertising, e-commerce, and digital content contexts. At the University of Westminster, this three-year, full-time degree draws on Westminster's long-established strengths in both photography and fashion to develop rigorous photographic training alongside expertise in styling, fashion communication, digital marketing, branding, and campaign development. The programme aims to produce confident, critically informed visual practitioners equipped to succeed in fashion photography and across the wider creative industries.
