The role
What a real estate lawyer actually does, day to day.
As a Property Solicitor, you guide clients through the legal side of buying, selling or renting property. You check that everything is legal and fair, write and review contracts and agreements, and make sure the deal protects your client. You might help someone buy their first house, handle a big commercial property deal, or sort out a disagreement about a lease or tenancy.
Your work involves reading and writing legal documents carefully, researching property law, and talking to the other side's solicitors to negotiate the best terms. You advise clients on their rights and what they need to do. You also handle disputes - for example, if a tenant won't leave or there is a disagreement about who owns something. The job needs excellent attention to detail, a good understanding of the law, and the ability to explain complicated things in a way clients can understand.
