The role
What a management consultancy director actually does, day to day.
As a management consultancy director, you run consulting projects for big organizations. When a company is struggling or wants to change how they work, they call in consultants like you to look at the problem and suggest solutions. You lead teams of consultants, plan the work, talk to the client's senior leaders, and make sure the project delivers real results.
Your day involves planning projects, managing your team, meeting with company bosses to understand what they need, analyzing their business, and coming up with practical ideas for improvement. You also bring in new clients, build relationships with them and make sure they're happy with the work. You need strong problem-solving skills, good judgment about people and businesses, and the ability to explain complicated ideas in a way that makes sense to busy executives.
