Management Consultant

AI

Management consultants help businesses work better. They look at how companies run, spot problems, suggest improvements, and help put those ideas into action.

The role

What a management consultant actually does, day to day.

As a management adviser or consultant, you help businesses and organizations solve problems and run more smoothly. You talk to managers and staff, gather facts about how the company works, and work out what needs to change.

Your days are busy and different every time. You might spend the morning in meetings with a client's leadership team, asking questions and listening carefully. The afternoon you might be in the office writing up what you have found, or creating a plan for change. Once you have made recommendations, you check in to see if they are working and make adjustments if needed. The job is about thinking clearly, talking to lots of different people, and being able to explain complicated ideas simply.
