The role
What an administration director actually does, day to day.
As an administration director, you lead the team that keeps an organisation running. You set up the systems and rules that make sure work gets done efficiently, and you manage the staff who do that work. You will work with other senior leaders to solve problems and plan for the future, so that every department has what it needs to succeed.
Your day includes meetings with team leaders to check on progress, decisions about how to spend money wisely, and looking at how to improve the way things are done. You will make sure the office is well organised, that people have the tools they need to work, and that everyone knows what they are supposed to do. You might use new technology to make processes faster, or change how things work to save time and money.
