About this course

Renal care is a clinical specialism focused on the kidney and the complex range of conditions that affect renal function. Kidney disease is one of the most significant chronic health challenges in the UK, affecting millions of people and requiring sophisticated, long-term clinical management. The renal care specialist works alongside patients over extended periods, often across dialysis, transplantation, and conservative management pathways, requiring both deep clinical knowledge and the communication and relational skills to support people living with a serious chronic illness. This part-time programme at Nottingham Trent University is designed for registered healthcare professionals who want to develop their specialist knowledge and practice in renal care.
