About this course
Psychology is the scientific study of mind and behaviour, asking how we perceive the world around us, how memory, attention, and language work, how emotions and motivations drive action, how we develop across the lifespan, and how social and cultural contexts shape who we are. It is one of the most popular and intellectually diverse of the social sciences, combining the methods of natural science with questions that have occupied philosophers for centuries. Studying psychology trains you to evaluate evidence critically, to design and interpret research, and to apply scientific thinking to human experience.
