At Exeter this three-year full-time programme qualifies you to practise as a diagnostic radiographer. The programme is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council and the College of Radiographers, which are the relevant regulatory and professional bodies. Clinical placements are central to the degree, taking you into real imaging departments where you will develop your skills under the supervision of qualified radiographers across a range of modalities and patient groups. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council on completion opens the route to employment as a diagnostic radiographer in the NHS or independent sector. Experienced radiographers can develop specialisms in areas such as MRI, CT, mammography, or interventional procedures, and can progress to advanced and consultant practitioner roles.
