Law is the system through which societies codify authority, protect rights, resolve disputes, and regulate behaviour across every domain of life. Studying it develops both knowledge of legal rules and institutions and a rigorous analytical mindset: the capacity to identify and apply principles, to construct arguments from evidence, and to read complex texts with precision.
