About this course
Law with politics is a degree that explores the relationship between two disciplines that are inseparable in practice. Law provides the rules, rights and obligations that structure political life; politics determines who makes those rules, how they are contested, and in whose interests they operate. Studying them together gives you a more critical and contextualised understanding of both: you learn to see law not merely as a technical system of rules but as a product of political choices, contested values, and historical power relations, and you learn to analyse political systems with the precision and analytical rigour that legal training develops.
