Law and Management brings together two disciplines that rarely operate in isolation in the real world. Organisations of every kind, from businesses and public bodies to charities and startups, depend on people who understand both the legal frameworks that govern them and the management principles that make them work effectively. Studying the two subjects together gives you a genuinely integrated perspective that neither degree delivers alone. At Robert Gordon University this part-time programme includes a foundation year, giving you a structured entry point into degree-level study and time to build confidence in both areas before progressing. You will develop a sound understanding of core legal principles, including contract, tort, property, and constitutional law, alongside the key concepts and practices of business management, such as strategy, organisational behaviour, finance, and operations. At Honours level the programme offers considerable flexibility, allowing you to shape your studies towards the areas where you have developed the strongest interest, whether that is commercial law, employment law, business strategy, or another specialism. The programme also includes a year abroad, broadening your experience and giving you exposure to legal and business contexts beyond the UK. Working across two demanding subjects teaches you to synthesise information from different frameworks, to think about problems from both a regulatory and an operational perspective, and to communicate clearly to varied audiences. These are skills that employers in management and legal roles value highly, and the combination makes you a versatile graduate.
