For graduates who have already studied another subject and wish to pursue a career in the legal professions, the accelerated LLB provides a fast route to a qualifying law degree, fitting the full content of a three-year programme into two intensive years of full-time study. The accelerated structure means that the pace of learning is demanding and the workload significant, but for motivated students who have already demonstrated their academic ability at degree level, it is an exceptionally efficient route into the profession. Graduates from the accelerated LLB are eligible to proceed to the Legal Practice Course or Bar Practice Course, the professional training routes for solicitors and barristers respectively. Many also use their qualification to enter careers in compliance, corporate governance, business, and the civil service.
