MBus International Business with German
About this course
International business with German is a degree designed to develop the leaders of the future in a globalised commercial world. This programme provides students with a broad understanding of international business along with the study of German, and is designed to equip you to be successful with an exceptional knowledge and understanding of both international business operations and the economic, political, and social contexts in which they occur. German is the most widely spoken native language in Europe and the language of the continent's largest and most productive economy, making it one of the most commercially valuable languages for anyone pursuing an international business career in Europe and beyond. At the University of Aberdeen, this five-year full-time MBus programme is taught to the level of an integrated masters degree, combining the breadth and depth of the Scottish honours tradition with the extended research and analytical training of a masters-level qualification. You will study international business strategy, global finance, international marketing, cross-cultural management, international economics, and the political economy of international trade alongside German language and cultural studies, developing both languages to a high level of professional competence. A year abroad is built into the programme, spent partly or entirely in a German-speaking country, giving you the linguistic immersion and cultural experience that transforms classroom learning into genuine fluency. With a typical entry tariff of 168 UCAS points, this is a competitive programme at a well-regarded research university. Graduates pursue careers in international management, banking and finance, consultancy, trade and logistics, European and international organisations, government economic departments, international marketing, and commercial roles across the German-speaking business world and beyond. Many graduates continue to postgraduate study in international business, European studies, or finance.
