Graphic design is the practice of using visual language, encompassing typography, image, colour, layout, and digital interaction, to communicate ideas with clarity and intention. It is a discipline that operates at the intersection of art and communication, where creative vision is always in service of a purpose, whether that is informing, persuading, identifying, or moving an audience. The discipline underpins branding, publishing, digital media, wayfinding, and almost every form of visual communication in the contemporary world. At the University of the Arts London you will study across three years on a full-time programme, with a sandwich year that places you in a professional design environment and work placement activity integrated throughout.
