BSc Fashion Management
About this course
Fashion management is a discipline that addresses the business, commercial, and organisational dimensions of one of the world's most global and culturally significant industries. It brings together fashion knowledge with the strategic, financial, and managerial competencies needed to run fashion businesses effectively, whether in luxury, contemporary, retail, or creative sectors. The fashion industry is fast-moving, commercially complex, and culturally influential, and managing within it requires both commercial rigour and genuine cultural sensitivity. At the University of the Arts London, this three-year full-time programme develops your understanding of fashion as both a creative industry and a commercial enterprise. You will study fashion business strategy, retail management, brand management, supply chain, sustainability, and the global fashion landscape, alongside the cultural and critical dimensions of fashion that make UAL's approach to fashion education distinctive. The programme includes a sandwich placement year and work placement opportunities, giving you professional experience within the fashion industry before you graduate. The typical entry tariff is 136 points. Graduates of fashion management programmes pursue careers in fashion buying and merchandising, brand management, retail operations, fashion consultancy, supply chain management, PR and communications, and management roles in fashion businesses of all sizes and scales. The UAL context and the programme's industry connections give graduates access to a professional network that is genuinely valuable in a competitive and relationship-driven industry. Many graduates also go on to postgraduate study in fashion management, luxury brand management, or business, or develop careers in the international fashion industry where commercial and cultural competency are both in demand.
