Electronic engineering is the discipline concerned with the design, development, and testing of electronic components, circuits, and systems that underpin virtually all modern technology, from consumer devices and communications infrastructure to industrial control systems, medical equipment, and the emerging fields of quantum devices and nanotechnology.
