Economics and business is a combination that bridges the rigorous analytical framework of economics and the practical orientation of management education. Economics provides the tools to understand how markets work, how firms and individuals make decisions under uncertainty, and how policy interventions affect welfare and efficiency. Business management complements this with direct engagement with strategy, organisational dynamics, and the practice of managing people and resources in commercial contexts. At Swansea University, this three-year programme provides a strong foundation in key economic theories and quantitative analytical tools alongside a portfolio of courses in modern management practice.
