Computing science encompasses both the theoretical foundations of computation and the practical skills of designing, building and deploying software and systems. It is a discipline concerned with how problems are represented, how algorithms solve them, how data is managed and how systems at every scale from embedded devices to cloud infrastructure are designed and made to work reliably.
