BA Business Management (Marketing)
About this course
Business management with a marketing specialism is a degree that combines the breadth of a general business education with focused expertise in one of the most dynamic and commercially important functions within any organisation. Marketing determines how organisations understand their customers, position their products or services, and communicate their value in competitive markets. Combined with core business knowledge in strategy, finance, operations, and leadership, it produces graduates who can think commercially across the full range of business functions while also developing real depth in marketing practice. At Middlesex University, this three-year full-time degree is designed to prepare you for success in a fast-paced, global business environment, whether you aim to work within an established organisation or build something of your own. A foundation year is available for those who would benefit from additional academic preparation before beginning the main degree. A sandwich year placement gives you the opportunity to gain substantial professional experience in a business or marketing context before your final year, and work placement activity is integrated throughout the programme. These applied elements are particularly important in marketing, where practical portfolio experience and industry connections are valued by employers. A typical tariff applies for the standard entry route. You will study consumer behaviour, brand management, digital marketing, market research, integrated marketing communications, and the strategic and data-driven dimensions of modern marketing practice, alongside the business fundamentals that give marketing its commercial context. Graduates go on to careers in marketing agencies, in-house marketing and brand roles, digital marketing, product management, market research, public relations, advertising, and general management. Many also pursue postgraduate study or professional marketing qualifications to advance their careers further.
