Is this the only route?
This is the standard academic trajectory, but modern careers are highly flexible. You can often skip stages by entering the industry with an advanced qualification (like a Master's or PhD), or pivot sideways from a related discipline.
University Degree
Usually 3 to 4 years of full-time academic study, explicitly preparing you for the theoretical realities of the industry.
Junior School Nurse
As a Junior School Nurse, you will support the health needs of students under the supervision of a more experienced nurse. Your responsibilities will include conducting basic health assessments, providing first aid, and assisting in health education initiatives.
Mid-Level School Nurse
In this role, you will take on more responsibility, including developing health care plans and leading health promotion activities. You will work closely with students, parents, and educational staff to ensure comprehensive health support.
Senior School Nurse
As a Senior School Nurse, you will oversee the school nursing programme, mentor junior nurses, and lead health initiatives across multiple schools. Your strategic input will shape health policies and practices within the educational setting.
