Quality Control Engineer

AI

Quality Control Engineers check that products are safe and work properly before they reach customers. They test things like medicines, food, cars and electronics to spot any problems and make sure everything meets the right standards.

The role

What a quality control engineer actually does, day to day.

As a Quality Control Engineer, you make sure products are safe and do what they're supposed to do. Every day you inspect things, run tests, and look for problems before anyone buys them.

You will use testing equipment and tools to measure and check products. Some days you might test a batch of pills to make sure they're the right strength, or examine car parts to see they're made properly. You write down what you find, look for patterns in the data, and tell people what needs to be fixed. You might also help train other staff on what to check for and why it matters. The work is careful and methodical - small mistakes matter, because products need to be safe and reliable.
