The role
What a clinical governance and information manager actually does, day to day.
As a clinical governance and information manager, you help make healthcare safer and better. You collect information about how hospitals and clinics work, spot problems, and suggest improvements that keep patients safe.
Your day might include looking at patient records to find trends, meeting with doctors and nurses to check they're following safety rules, training staff on the right procedures, and writing reports for hospital leaders. You need to be good with numbers and data, but also good at explaining things clearly to busy clinical staff. The work is behind the scenes, but it has a real impact - when you spot a problem and fix it, patients get better care.
