Airport Manager

AI

Airport managers run one of the busiest places in the UK - the airport. They look after everything that happens there, from making sure planes take off on time to keeping passengers safe and happy.

The role

What an airport manager actually does, day to day.

As an Airport Manager, you are responsible for running the airport smoothly every single day. You make sure flights leave and arrive on schedule, passengers can get through the airport easily, and everything is safe for the thousands of people who travel through each day.

Your job involves talking to lots of different teams - security, baggage handlers, customer service staff and many others - and making sure they all work together well. You spot problems before they become big issues, make sure the airport follows all the rules it needs to follow, and lead the people who work there. It's hands-on, fast-paced work that keeps an important part of the UK moving.
