Whether the project is a construction scheme, a software implementation, a new product launch, or an organisational change programme, the principles of defining scope, managing resources, tracking progress, managing risk, and delivering on time and within budget are universal. At Leeds Beckett this part-time programme is accredited by the Association for Project Management, the UK's leading professional body for project management, and it develops the full range of technical skills required to deliver projects effectively across different sectors and contexts. You will study project governance, planning and scheduling, risk management, stakeholder communication, budgeting, and the human dimensions of leading project teams. The programme includes a sandwich year providing substantial professional experience, a year abroad for those wishing to engage with project management in an international context, and work placement opportunities throughout. The APM accreditation means that the programme is recognised by the profession and supports your development toward professional qualifications. Graduates go on to careers as project managers, programme managers, project coordinators, and in a wide range of delivery-focused roles across construction, information technology, healthcare, the public sector, financial services, and many other industries.
