Music technology is the discipline that sits at the intersection of music and the technologies used to create, record, manipulate, and distribute sound. It encompasses audio engineering, sound synthesis, digital audio production, music software design, and the acoustic and electronic principles that underpin how sound is captured and reproduced. Sound is central to film, television, games, live events, music production, podcasts, and digital media, and professionals with music technology skills are in demand across all of these sectors and more. Leeds Beckett University's part-time Music Technology programme allows you to develop these skills and knowledge while managing other commitments, making it accessible to those working in the music or audio industries, pursuing creative projects alongside study, or balancing other personal or professional responsibilities.
