This two-year programme at Hartpury University is delivered in partnership with the British Racing School and leads to a BSc (Hons) qualification from Hartpury. The programme involves home study alongside guided learning at both the British Racing School and Hartpury's own campus, giving you the benefit of two specialist environments. The British Racing School is one of the UK's principal training institutions for the racing industry, and its involvement ensures that the practical and vocational dimensions of the programme are grounded in the realities of how the industry actually operates. You will develop knowledge of equine science, industry structure and management, racing regulation, breeding, nutrition, stable management and the business dimensions of the sport. The programme develops both the specialist knowledge and the professional competencies that careers in the horseracing industry require, whether your interests lie in training, stable management, breeding, racing administration or related commercial roles. Graduates pursue careers across the horseracing industry in training yards, racecourses, stud farms, breeding operations, racing administration and the commercial businesses that support the sport. Some move into related equestrian sectors.
