History and sociology is a joint honours combination that explores human societies from two complementary directions: sociology examines how social structures, institutions, and forces shape collective life in the present and recent past, while history investigates how those structures and forces have developed and changed over time. At the University of Leeds, the BA History and Sociology is a three-year full-time programme that includes a sandwich year, a year abroad, and work placement, giving you extensive professional and international experience alongside a stimulating academic curriculum.
