About this course

English as an academic discipline is far broader than reading novels. It encompasses the close analysis of language in all its forms, the historical development of English from its Anglo-Saxon roots through to the digital present, the study of literature across periods and cultures, and the exploration of critical and theoretical frameworks that illuminate how texts make meaning.
