Construction management is the profession responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of construction projects, ensuring that built environment work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required standard. It operates at the heart of the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry, requiring professionals who understand both the technical dimensions of how buildings and infrastructure are designed and built and the commercial, contractual, and leadership skills needed to manage complex multi-stakeholder projects from inception to completion. At the University of Roehampton, this three-year, full-time programme includes a foundation year that builds the professional and academic foundations needed before progressing to degree-level study, a sandwich placement year for extended industry experience, a year abroad, and work placement integrated throughout.
