About this course
Business psychology applies the concepts and methods of psychological science to the world of work and organisations. It asks how individuals behave in professional contexts, what motivates people and shapes their performance, how organisations function as social systems, and what role individual differences, in personality, cognition, values, and experience, play in shaping careers and working relationships. This is a discipline that draws on both rigorous scientific enquiry and practical application, bridging the gap between academic psychology and the realities of managing and working in organisations. At Birkbeck College, this programme is delivered part time, making it particularly well suited to those who are already in work or who have other commitments alongside their studies.
