Accounting and finance is a degree that develops the technical knowledge and analytical skills needed to understand how organisations report their financial performance and how financial decisions are made. Accounting is concerned with the preparation, interpretation and audit of financial statements, the management of financial information within organisations, and the regulatory and ethical frameworks that govern financial reporting. Finance focuses on how capital is allocated, how investments are evaluated, how risk is managed and how financial markets function. Together they form a degree that is directly relevant to a wide range of professional careers in business and financial services.
